Being More Mindful

It’s no secret the pandemic has put extra strain on people’s mental wellbeing. From navigating our way through lockdowns, social distancing and working from home we can safely say it’s been a strange couple of years. Whilst the future of working is said to be hybrid, we’re still getting our heads around connecting back with our team in person. Finding the right balance between flexible working and face to face meetings is an ongoing thing. What we do know is that in person check-ins are vital to reducing the risk of burnout or suffering from anxiety.

We’re always trying to connect with our team and promote coping strategies to release stress and promote wellbeing, whether that’s yoga, sound meditation or going for a team walk. We know education about mental health helps to open up conversations, break down stigma, and encourage mental health resilience. It can also ensure people are aware of how to access help, allowing for quicker recoveries and more positive outcomes.

These don’t have to be uncomfortable conversations. Engaging the team can come in many guises. Fostering a greater collaboration culture is a main focus for 2022 and we’ve already made a start by arranging team walks to breakfast health shots, or sampling northern delicacies like crisp butties, and we’ve even been to art exhibitions.

It’s because of this, that we’re really proud to announce that we are now listed as a Mindful Employer.

Established in 2004, Mindful Employer is a UK wide initiative providing employers with easier access to professional Workplace Mental Health training, information and support. The initiative aims to help empower employers to take a lead in supporting the mental wellbeing of their staff. By signing the ‘Charter for Employer Positive About Mental Health’, Regital have made a public statement of our desire to support the mental health of our team across the organisation.
